the mission

To help individuals discover and build strength, confidence, curiosity, and a sense of adventure, on the trails, in the gym, and in life.

Run Strong. Run Far.

Run Strong. Run Far.

My name is Heidi Baker and I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, RRCA Level 1 Run Coach, Girls Gone Strong Women's Coaching Specialist, To Birth and Back Movement Professional, and a UESCA Ultrarunning Coach.  I have run distances from 5k to 100 miles, and have been running for 12 years.  I am in love with the sport of ultrarunning and you can often find me in the midst of my own training for whatever race is next. I’m a homeschooling mom of three, lover of coffee and sourdough bread, and if I am not running, I’m chasing my kids, baking, and just staying busy in the flow of life.

My mission is to help individuals discover and build strength, confidence, curiosity, and a sense of adventure—on the trails, in the gym, and in life.

Through personalized coaching and a deeply supportive approach, I work with each client to create movement that feels empowering, sustainable, and aligned with their goals and values. Whether you're navigating motherhood, chasing an ultramarathon finish line, or simply trying to reconnect with your body, I believe movement can be a powerful tool for growth, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

I want every person I coach to feel strong not just in their muscles, but in their mindset. To feel curious about what they’re capable of. To seek out challenges not as tests of worth, but as invitations to grow. And to step boldly into whatever “adventure” means to them.

Strength and endurance is more than a goal, it’s a way of showing up for yourself, and you deserve to feel strong in every season.

About me.

Run Coaching

Whether you are thinking about toeing the line of your first ultra, or you are thinking of taking on a scary new challenge, I am ready to help you get there!

Conversation and communication
I believe in making myself available to my athletes however they need- texting, calling, video chats are all fine by me and I will consistently check in with you to understand what is going on in your life, and how you are responding to your training. Athletes are not just sets of data!

Check in before and after race
When race week approaches, we will chat to go over a plan: pacing, crewing, drop bags, nutrition, mindset, etc. I want you showing up with all bases covered! Likewise we will chat after the race to go over what went well and what maybe didn’t- so that as we continue to work together we can use those lessons learned!

Get to know each other
I start with getting to know you- with an initial coaching call to understand your experience, goals, time availability, and other factors that will help me formulate a plan specific to you.

Create a sustainable plan
A plan is only good if it is sustainable and adaptable to your life- while I have a general plan for your goals laid out, I upload workouts to Training Peaks usually two weeks at a time- that way we can adjust as life, inevitably happens.

personal training

If you’re looking for a coach to help you reach your goals in the gym, I’m here for you.
Through a customized and supportive approach, I’ll create a plan that fits your body, your life, and your goals, training you in the most effective, sustainable way to get results you can feel proud of.

I also offer in person personal training at the Guyton Family YMCA in Guyton, GA. Please reach out for more information, or click the link below to book sessions!

Ultra Strength

Strength Training for Trail and Ultrarunners

It’s no secret that ultrarunning can be hard on the body. Ultra and trail runners need to work on strength, agility, plyometrics and mobility to keep their bodies ready for the journey ahead. Join me in Ultra Strength- programmed specifically for ultra and trail runners (although anyone can benefit!).

4 pre-programmed workouts per week, adaptable to do 2,3, or all 4 depending on your wants/needs.

Try one week free- then $19/month!

(included in all run coaching at no additional cost)

Now podcasting…

None of us run ultras because we want the “easy button,” but at the same time we sometimes face them with unrealistic expectations. Heidi Baker and Michelle Goldberg are both experienced ultrarunners and UESCA Certified ultrarunning coaches who want to help you unpack and understand the race that didn’t go quite as planned, and show you how they are opportunities for growth, learning and resilience building. Bringing in guests of all running and experience levels, we want to encourage you to embrace the challenges, welcome the mistakes, and thrive in the struggles.
